Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
